Clear, detailed images to guide your care.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI or MR) combines a powerful magnet with an advanced computer system and radio waves to produce accurate, detailed pictures of organs and tissues to diagnose a variety of medical conditions and guide patient care.

The strength of the magnet for each MRI scanner is called “field strength.”  It is measured in Tesla or “T”, and represents how powerful the scanner’s magnet is. The higher the field strength, the better the image quality.  With higher field strengths, your scan images are clearer and show smaller details of your body.

The 3T MRI is our most powerful scanner. It offers twice the field strength of traditional MRI scanners, and are more powerful than open-type scanners. 3T scanners have the ability to produce very detailed images of the intricate body parts such as the brain, vascular system and joints for a more accurate diagnosis.

These high-quality images, when read by our specialized radiologists – doctors with advanced training in reading imaging studies of the body part you are having examined – can help bring you and your doctor confidence in your diagnosis.
