Lung cancer is the most deadly form of cancer in the US. According to research, the five year survival rate of lung cancer is 17.5%. This is typically because lung cancer patients aren’t being diagnosed until they are in Stage 3 or 4 – meaning the cancer has already spread beyond the lungs and is much harder to fight. Survival rate increases dramatically when the diagnosis comes early.
