Nationally Accredited for Quality and Safety
At Greater Waterbury Imaging Center, ensuring you receive high-quality, safe and accurate imaging care is our first priority. We work each day on continuous quality improvements and lead the industry in identifying and setting measurable quality indicators for medical imaging.
One quality indicator is accreditation by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
This “stamp” of quality approval is achieved through an annual evaluation of center staff, equipment, image quality and image resolution. The rigorous evaluations are conducted by board-certified physicians and medical physicists. Learn more about the ACR.
There are significant differences in the quality of the exams and patient care delivered by diagnostic imaging providers. At Greater Waterbury Imaging Center, we deliver high-quality imaging by:
- Working with specialized medical doctors with additional education and experience in imaging, including imaging in focused areas of the body like the head and neck, spine, musculoskeletal system, breast tissue and body and organs
- Ensuring the professionals who run the equipment are registered and certified in that technology
- Optimizing our imaging protocols (your preparation, how we calibrate our scanners, how we complete the scan) to safely capture consistent, high-quality images
When you visit Greater Waterbury Imaging Center, expect high-quality, safe and accurate imaging care that will offer answers and may help guide your health care treatment.
