Mammography is a safe, low-dose X-ray of the breast that allows for early detection of breast cancer. An annual screening mammogram is recommended for women beginning at age of 40, according to the American College of Radiology (ACR) and the Society of Breast Imaging (SBI). A bone density (DXA) exam detects low bone mass and monitors the effects of bone mass therapy for patients with osteoporosis. Our technologists who perform this exam are not only very experienced, but patient and caring.
