Pain can interrupt your life. Willmar CDI offers cost-effective options to better analyze and treat back and joint pain. Our doctors specialize in medical imaging to diagnose pain, and in procedures to treat its root cause, all in our relaxed and comfortable outpatient imaging center.
A breast biopsy or aspiration biopsy is used to obtain small samples of tissue or cells to evaluate for abnormal cells or cancer. Our radiologists use image-guidance, which could include: Ultrasound or Stereotactic (X-ray), during the biopsy to ensure accuracy.
Mammography is a safe, low-dose x-ray picture of the breast that allows early detection of breast cancer. An annual screening mammogram is recommended for women beginning at age 40, according to the American College of Radiology (ACR) and the Society of Breast Imaging (SBI). Ultrasound bounces high-frequency sound waves off parts of the body and captures the returning “echoes” as images. There is no radiation exposure or injections with this exam.
X-ray exams at Willmar CDI are quick and convenient. We are able to work patients in same-day in many cases but request a call ahead to verify insurance and wait times in order to make your experience as positive as possible.
A DXA bone scan is a fast, non-invasive bone mineral density exam that detect low bone mass and monitor the effects of bone mass therapy for patients with osteoporosis.
