Ease the Pain of Aging with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

The aches and pains of aging that you feel in your joints can be treated with an injection of your own platelet rich plasma (PRP). As interventional radiologist Robert O’Brien MD explains, a PRP starts with a simple blood draw. Your blood is then spun in a centrifuge, which separates the platelet rich plasma from the platelet poor plasma and red blood cells.
